Oddhaus Vintage in Luxembourg
I am a big fan of vintage furnitures and design !
I am in constant looking for second-hand markets during the Weekend. And, I also love to escape from Luxembourg for a little get away week-end to Tongres, where the all year long Sunday brocante is amazing, as I already told you about here.
So, what a nice surprise when I discovered that you could find nice vintage furnitures right here in Luxembourg !
« What ? », you might say. Yes, thanks to Alina from Oddhaus Vintage.
Alina moved to Luxembourg some years ago, and while decorating her flat, she realised that it was hard to find nice furnitures that is not Ikea made, but have a history. She began searching for cool and, often, odd (!) piece of furnitures for herself, and had the idea to develop her passion for something more serious.
Since the beginning of the year, she is now fully dedicated to Oddhaus Vintage !
Why the name Oddhaus ? Because finding odd or somehow different vintage furnitures is the spirit of her store. Alina assumes the weirdness of her discoveries sometimes, but she also told me that every piece that is for sale has appealed to her in some way.
She has specialised in articles from the 50′, 60′, 70′, with a Scandinavian twist, but not only. Bohemian, mid-century, farm house, industrial are all the styles that you might encounter on her online store. She has a large range of choices, from furnitures (drawers, shelfs, tables,…), to decoration items, mirror, wall art and kitchen dishes, sofas and chairs.
She doesn’t have a store in the city (yet!), so all her products can be bought online through her website or her Etsy shop. As a lot of the stock is not listed online yet, those are available to see in person by appointment or at the events Oddhaus is attending.
She is attending some pop-up stores events to expose part of her vintage products. On 11th November, Oddhause Vintage will be present at the Berlin Extragavanza from Extrabold. A perfect time to admire her collection and discuss with her !
If you want to add a vintage note to your interior by simple decoration or furnitures, forget Ikea, and go visit Oddhause Vintage website.
